Subspace multiuser detection for multicarrier DS-CDMA
نویسندگان
چکیده
A subspace-based linear minimum mean-squared error (MMSE) multiuser detection scheme is proposed for a multicarrier direct-sequence code-division multiple-access (MC-DSCDMA) system. Typically, a MC-DS-CDMA system employs a band-limited chip waveform. The band-limited nature of the chip waveform causes problem in applying standard subspace techniques because no nonnull noise subspace can be formed. It is shown that channel and timing information needed for the construction of the linear MMSE detector can be identified by a multiple-signal-classification-like algorithm based on a finitelength truncation approximation of the chip waveform. In practice, since perturbed versions of the subspaces assumed in the finitelength truncation approximation are actually observed, and because of the band-limited property of the chip waveform, the accuracy of the channel estimation and, hence, the performance of the MMSE detector are degraded. This effect is investigated in this paper.

Blind Channel Estimation and Multiuser Detection for Multi-rate Cdma Communications
The future wireless communications systems should be able to offer wide variety of applications, which have vastly different quality of service (QoS) requirements. The time-variable QoS may require the support of variable bit rates on the wireless links to the individual users. Multi-rate DS/CDMA is a promising basis on which to support the variable bit rates on the individual wireless links. C...
متن کاملNonlinear Multiuser Receiver for Optimized Chaos-Based DS-CDMA Systems
Chaos based communications have drawn increasing attention over the past years. Chaotic signals are derived from non-linear dynamic systems. They are aperiodic, broadband and deterministic signals that appear random in the time domain. Because of these properties, chaotic signals have been proposed to generate spreading sequences for wide-band secure communication recently. Like conventional DS...

Abstract-The main objective of this paper is to compare block transmission system performance analytically for Code Divisional Multiple Access (CDMA) modulations in Generalized Multicarrier environment against linear modulation techniques for both single user and multiuser. The effectivity of GMC-CDMA for multiuser will also be judged for different Direct Sequence CDMA (DS-CDMA) such as MC-CDMA...
متن کاملMultiuser Detector for Multicarrier CDMA Systems
Introduction: In the recent decade, there have been significant efforts in developing multiuser detection technologies to alleviate the effect of multiple access interference (MAI) in codedivision multiple-access (CDMA) systems. Blind multiuser detection is of special interest for MAI mitigation in CDMA systems since it is impractical to assume perfect knowledge of parameters such as spreading ...
متن کاملDetection Techniques for Direct Sequence & MulticarrierVariable Rate Broadband
| Multicarrier CDMA and direct sequence CDMA have been suggested for both narrowband and broadband multiple access systems. A series of concepts have further been proposed for variable rate broadband multimedia transmission within a CDMA system. These principally diierent techniques exhibit certain common characteristics that can be exploited. In this paper we propose a generalised unifying dis...
